CHOIR FESTIVAL

The annual I.R Choir Festival was held on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2008 at the Phokojwe Hall.
Moruleng’s Junior and Senior Choir, Msholozi’s Junior and Senior Choir, Sebusiso’s Junior Choir and Mamelodi Choirs all participated in the Primary Schools Section.

The High School Section started off on a high note with the I.R.Lesolang High School 15 Year Festival Choir, which included the staff and the Principal, Mr. Ngobeni. High Schools from all over Tshwane West District, as well as the Gauteng Youth Choir and the Khampepe Brass Band enchanted the audience with their beautiful music.

LEADERSHIP COURSE

I.R's Head boy, Joshua Mokwena, attended the Nelson Mandela Leadership Course and obtained a leadership certificate. Well done Baba!

SCIENCE DAY

PRINCIPAL

Science begins for children when they discover that they can learn about the world through their own actions, such as blowing soap bubbles, planting and watching a seed germinate, or running with a paper windmill in their hands. Indeed, young children are excited about science when they are given the chance to “do” science. Hands-on science experiences, together with conversations about what is occurring are the best method for developing children’s science process skills. These are experiences that most children enjoy.
